Tantra: enlightenment to revolution
23 April - 26 July 2020
Explore the ancient philosophy of Tantra and find out how it privileges the feminine and opened up new ways of seeing the world as a source of limitless power. Originating in India, Tantra spread to Nepal, Tibet, China and Japan and transformed South Asia’s major religions. It challenged society’s norms, and even inspired revolution during British rule in India. From the 20th century onwards, Tantra has been reimagined as a means of liberating society from sexual and political convention.
